New regulations allowing major global retailers to open company-owned stores in India will create millions of new job openings across the country, majority of them in logistics alone. Retail markets grew by at least 5% on average in emerging markets in the last year.
Online retail markets have grown dramatically and is expected to grow to $16 billion in 2016 with the number of online shoppers in India expected double to 40 million. There is a lot of headroom to grow across products while in electronics, e-commerce has made rapid progress and over 50,000 new people are needed to help this growth.
Talent demands are increasing from online start-ups and e-commerce multinationals entering India as well as their back-office operations.
In e-commerce, trained talent availability is limited so training existing people with the right
attitude and aptitude is needed as is changing the mindset about the attractiveness of a career in retail.
Cultural and structural changes in migrating from brick-and-mortar retail to online retail are
inevitable and require skilled managers to manage these transitions.
We have worked with global and local retail companies in different verticals like computing,
garments, FMCG, for finding the right people in functions such as store management, store
setup, channel sales, store sakes, service, distribution, finance, pricing, IT, marketing, analytics,
back-office, merchandising, content writers, stylists, photographers and fashion designers.
